Patriotic Walk for Cameroon’s Army and a protest against Boko Haram

Today Feb 28th 2015, thousands of people staged a Patriotic walk  through the streets, Yaounde, Cameroon to protest against the Nigeria-based jihadist group, ‪#‎BokoHaram‬ . Many of the demonstrators wore T-shirts printed with pro-army slogans.

It was also more of a patriotic walk that goes beyond the march, a token of support for our troops and brothers and sisters in the border villages with Nigeria, who live every second of every day either in fear of losing their lives Let us salute their heroic bravery and say thank you, one step at a time...the least we can do!

Boko Haram carries out regular cross-border raids into ‪#‎Cameroon‬, killing and kidnapping people. The Cameroonian military is fighting alongside troops from Nigeria, Chad and Niger

A study published in the Lancet-Global health journal (http://www.thelancet.com/pdfs/journals/langlo/PIIS2214-109X%2814%2970381-X.pdf) shows that Cameroon is amongst the top countries in the world with the healthiest diet. Chad and Mali, two low income African counties, scored best for healthy diets. Scoring lowest for healthy foods were European countries including Belgium and Hungary.   This study assessed the quality of diet in 197 countries, covering almost 4.5 billion adults, 90% of the global population. See map for countries with best (in green) and worst (in red diet) diet.
Before we forget, the study also showed that women eat better than men and older people eat better than the young.
Cameroon is up on this and at Camerpeers we are loving this!!!!!.
This map of overall dietary patterns, where green shows the healthiest diets and red the least, clearly shows Africa as the healthiest continent
